What an awesome week of fishing. The puppy drum (redfish) bit so well this week. We had some explosive strikes on topwaters. We also landed fish on spinnerbaits and live baits. Most of the fish were found in the marshes and backwaters of Swansboro. The speckled trout bite was really good this week with a few citation size fish mixed in with 2-3 lb fish. All the trout were caught on live baits. The flounder bite has slowed a bit but we are still finding a few nice keepers each trip. The good news also is the big row spanish have shown up on all the nearshore structure. These fish have been smashing small livebaits on top. The mahi and kings are starting to show up close now as well. The fishing is good so if you are in the Crystal Coast area book your fishing charter with us call Capt.
