Jan. 7 Fishing Report

Well the new year is off to a good start and the Reds are on fire. We have had some super cold weather but a recent warm snap has had the drum biting. We are site casting to huge schools of fish in 1o"-12" of water. These fish are ranging from 15"-32". This is some of the most exciting fishing you will find throughout the year. All fish have been landed on scented soft plastics. We have also been landing a few nice stripers while fishing in the nuese river. The striper bite should improve as we move into late winter and early spring. We are still catching some trout but it has been a little slow due to freezing water temps. I am still offering winter time specials so come enjoy some of the best fishing on the North Carolina Coast. If you are in the Crystal Coast Area and want a good inshore fishing charter give Capt. Robert Hall a call at (910)330-6999 or email: hallemincharters@yahoo.com
