July 28th Fishing Report

Much of the same old. The fishing remains pretty solid with Flounder and Reds biting well on the inside. There have been a few more drum showing up in the marshes and they have been hungry. July 22 Fishing Report

Flounder, Flounder, Flounder. That has been the best news of late. We are finding good numbers of keeper sized flounder inside around all the structure along the ICW and the deeper channels near the inlet. These fish have been landed on finger mullets on carolina rigs along with bucktails tipped with scented soft plastics. We have been finding some nice reds mixed in with the flounder. July 14th Fishing Report

Well the spanish and king bite remains hot close to the beach. Most of the spanish have been in the 3-5lb range. We have also been landing a bonus king or two each trip in the 5-15lb range. All fish have been falling for live menhaden or mullets on scaled down king rigs.

The inshore fishing has been pretty good around the tides. We are finding some good numbers of keeper size flounder around all the inshore structure such as docks, bridges, oyster beds, etc. Most of these fish have been landed on live mullets, mud minnows, or pogies on carolina rigs. There also have been some nice red drum (Redfish) hanging with the flounder around the structure as well. We have also been finding some nice reds in the marshes behind the barrier islands when the tide is flooded. Most of these fish are caught on topwaters and soft plastics.
We are still finding some speckled trout but not in numbers like before. The specks have been caught early in the day on live shrimp.
The fishing is great so Book your fishing charter and Call Capt. Robert Hall at (910)330-6999 or email: hallemincharters@yahoo.com

July 7th Fishing Report

The Spanish and king bite has turned back on. We are landing spanish in the 2-6lb range with the occasional 5-15lb king. This fishing is super exciting with visual strikes right in the prop wash. The best bait has been 3-4" menhaden.

The flounder bite continues to be great with good numbers of keeper fish on the structure and creeks along the ICW. We have also been landing keepers in the deeper channels near the inlets. Most fish have been falling for live pogies, mullet, and mud minnows on carolina rigs. Gulp jerkshads and shrimp on bucktails have also done the trick.

We have also still been finding some pretty speckled trout in the marsh creeks. These fish have been falling for live shrimps under slip corks. Specks have also been taking scented soft plastics on light jigheads. The Redfishing has been pretty good when we have the tide to fish in the marshes. We are finding 25-30" fish in all the bays behind the barrier islands. Most fish have been exploding on Top water baits. But live shrimp, mud minnows, mullets will also do the job.
The fishing is great so book your charter with us. Call Capt. Robert Hall at (910)330-6999 or email: hallemincharters@yahoo.com
